Let me start by saying that this story is 100% true. It happened to me when i was 20 years old.
This is my first posting to a website however I have been writing for many years. Anyways, let me

And so it begins....
I had met my fiance, Doris, over the internet in one of those old text based telnet chats. It wasnt love at first sight or anything like that. In all honesty I wasnt even interested in my fiance when I first started chatting with her. I had been talking to her friend Michelle for a month or so and I had made plans to go meet her. As it turned out 4 days before I was supposed to go meet Michelle in person she had gotten back with her ex-boyfriend. Lord only knows why. He was quite the bastard from what she had told me about him.
So there I was, bored, aggrivated, and feeling a little rejected. Feeling rejected was nothing new to me. I had been a plump kid growing up even in to my high school years, and kids being what they were, I had gotten picked on and rejected quite a bit. I was talking online with Doris about the whole mess and explaining how I felt about the whole thing. After about 45 minutes of conversation she asked if I still had my bus ticket. I explained to her that being the fool that I was I had purchased a round tripticket that was non-refundable.
We talked a bit more and by the end of the conversation it was decided that rather than letting the ticket go to waste I would hop on the bus and go down and hang out with her and some of her college friends. So I hopped on the bus at 8:15 am on a Thursday in the small town of Portsmouth, Ohio heading for Knoxville, TN. To this day I havent figured out why but buses leaving Portsmouth always had to go north to Columbus where you would change buses for the south bound trip. The bus made a few stops between Portsmouth and Columbus before finally crawling in to the station at 12:25 pm.
